I've been waiting until the end of the season to change my irons. I've had my G10's for near on 2 years and they have seen a lot of use and are starting to look a bit worse for wear.

They have been fantastic clubs to start me off and now I fancy a set of i15's to replace them now I'm hitting my irons consistently enough.

I was thinking of booking a session at the Ping fitting center at Gainsbourgh as an end of season treat.

Anyone been there for a fitting ?

Is it worth going there over a local ping fitting at a club ?

Westy, it's an excellent facility where you will be able to try all the different lofts and shafts and models.
It's free but has to be booked through your local pro and there's always a waiting list.
Go for it :D

I went to Ping at Gainsborough in March the appointment was made by the club pro the G10s I had I could not fault the only reason I change to the i15s was that the wife had spent a small fortune on a fitted bedroom suite, when you go take a 7 iron with you as this is the club they use for the custom fit as well as different lofts and shafts they also check your grip size all the measurement are done with trackman and the results are shown on the laptop club head speed, ball speed, launch angle, back spin, carry distance and total distance, you can try all the other irons they do, did want the S57 but the results were not as good as the i15s and the best thing its free the pro charge me £425 for 4 to wedge black dot great day out,

Just don't ask JustOne about his brand new Ping driver! ;)

Don't know if you're anywhere near Westerham Golf Club, but we've got a Ping Demo day this Friday, from 2 - 6pm.

Went there to get fitted for my driver but not irons (not keen on Pings line up of irons)

Good facility and friendly staff , I would recommend it 100% for getting custom fitted

I went to one on Saturday. My advice if you are seriously looking is to book an appointment to get a fitting via their Trackman monitor. Brilliant bit of kit that will tell you everything you need to know about your swing. If you are just interested in hitting a few clubs, I recommend the I15's and I driver. The K15's are very much game improver although the driver amy give you surprising results and I recommend you give it a swing

Thanks guys. I'll have a word with our pro and get myself booked in.

I don't suppose they do a trade-in programme do they ?
