This particular pro, from as far as I can see, is not the normal club pro type shop. They are part of a sports retailer in Glasgow.

Graeme Sneddon in is the man, nice guy and explains everything very well.

The shop is based in Gordon Street in the City centre.

I have dealt with Gerry before as I organised our outing this year and we headed up to Lochwinnoch.

One of the boys also runs the RGU junior team, so he knows Gerry well through that as his boy plays.

If buying a new car and local family dealer take you a test drive and offer you it at 10K, then you find out Arnold is doing at at 8k. Where are you going to go?

As a car salesman I'd say do your price checking before you take the test drive and go and drive it where you were going to get the best price. Saves your time, and more importanly mine.

Its not always that easy, I bought an ex demonstrator for the wife last year and the salesman had to "go and ask the manager" every step through the negotiation I ended up saying that if he had to go once more I would come with him to save time!

But that's life these days. You get the best deal you can, whatever the product/service.....
The OP has paid for a fitting so he's free to use that info to get the best possible price - wherever that may be.

If you're buying a car you get the best price you can - if that means wasting someone's time in an effort to give them business then so be it. If they can match or beat the best price then they'll get it. If they can't or won't then someone else will.
