Ping Crossover

Got one and love it, make sure you check out the different shafts available, the different regs available gave me massive variance in flight

I have the "3" crossover with the heavier tour shaft (stiff).

it is a fantastic club, a great option for tight tee shots.

it is supposed to be a 3 iron replacement but it hits the ball further than a standard 3 iron.

As we were at Gainsborough this last few days I popped to the Ping European Test centre and asked to try one out. I was a bit sore in the thigh but swinging reasonable but their range balks were pretty awful and I hit the 3 iron pretty ok.

When I took it back and asked what shaft was in it, they had gven me the X Tour stiff which as a young nearly 64 year old was Waaayyy too stiff and they suggested if I buy one to get the blue stiff shaft but didn't give me one to try, but did have them in the shop at £146

crap balls and wrong shafts? Hardly the big thumbs up for Ping, which is a little disappointing

Anyone using one ? How are you finding it ?

Cheers Midnight...

I've got 1, when I tried it with the Ping guy at my club it flew down the range, when I paid for it and put it in the bag it performed like the rest of my clubs and went down the crap route!

It's been in my locker unused for weeks now, not sure what I'm going to do with it yet.

Have tried it a few times and find them awful

Would recommend you try the Titliest TMB version - very easy to hit

Im looking at one of these atm Phil, what's the flight like? Thinking of being stupid and getting the 2 iron as I can't hit my 5 wood from the tee anywhere near well enough.

The range balls are god awful to be fair, if you use the fitting service though. You'll only hit Srixon AD333's, not the range balls.
Love mine. When I'm swinging well, its such a versatile club. (but how I'm swing atm its still a handy club to find fairways with)
