Hi

Can anybody help me? I bought a new Ping cart bag about 3 months ago, which has seen little action on the course! However I had notice the stitching on one on the side pockets has come undone. I have taken it back into the shop I bought it from and was told 'as it’s a manufacturing fault it needs to be sent back to Ping' (Fair enough) but it's been a couple of weeks now and I/the shop still haven't heard anything.

Is there a warranty with Ping bags?

There is a warranty on everthing you purchase, if it is not up to task then you are fully entitled to a replacement or a refund. I would contact Ping customer services and enquire when your bag will be replaced, i cannot see any problem as Ping are a multinational comany with a very good track record.
 
I agree with the above. Ping are usually pretty good (better than TM) with replacing stuff. I would have thought though that it was for the retailer to sort out as that technically who your contract is buying it from him. He should replace it or give you a refund and seek recompense from Ping
 
Thanks guys, Hopefully I'll have a bag back soon (there's nothing worse than having my new irons in the an old bag!). I'll let you know the outcome.

my experience of Ping is that they provide a first class customer service.

As already mentioned your contract is with the retailer and not Ping. As the bag is not fit for purpose then you should pursue the matter with them. This is their legal obligation.

Just to play 'devils advocate', are the shop not doing what is required of them ?

They have returned the faulty bag to Ping for repair. Only if a repair is not feasible would a new 'replacement' bag be necessary ?

Just a thought ;)
 
I have had a couple of dealings with Ping customer service and i cant fault it, one item was a broken strap on my bag, had a replacement bag within a week, i would contact Ping and see what they have to say.
 
I had a similar problem with a ping bag i got for xmas, the shop i got it from sent it back to ping and I had a new one in a week. In my experience Ping's customer service is 2nd to none. The only other time I needed it was because my 5 year old g2 driver cracked and they replaced it free of charge with a new g10.
