Ping and AG very disappointed

I once waited 6 weeks for clubs after being told 3 weeks - I just showed patience and waited until they arrived. I realise that sometimes things go wrong and timings go wrong. No company is ever perfect just as we are never perfect.

Hmm, your pop at FJ about late shoes doesn't ride with this comment, even to the extent that you've told them you'll never buy FJ again!

6 months ago I sent my faulty shoes back to be told they would be replaced within a week - still waiting now after been given multiple excuses and reasons why I haven't had them replaced. My pro has also entered a formal compliant via the Footjoy rep to Footjoy - they were supposed to arrive yesterday ( when they finally told me they couldn't replace them and were sending the Pro SL ) another month after being told they would be arriving and low and behold still not arrived so 6 months I reckon is unacceptable don't you reckon. And yes I won't be getting Footjoy again after 6 weeks ago another pair were sent back - wonder how long I will wait for them to be replaced. A couple of weeks I'll handle - 6 months - nope - I could have bleated about it on the forum but what's the point ?

Yes I accept we have to wait but I think they knew they would not have the heads .
so they are selling something they no longer manufacture and should have told me a lot sooner.
but 7/10 days has turned into 9 weeks if you think that's ok fair enough but I am afraid I don't.
I appreciate things have taken a while which no one wanted, but my knowledge of Ping is that once new models come out, they stop making the previous models. I suspect you were to be sold remaining stock, once it had been located. My own dealings with Ping and historical models is that they tried their best to sort my needs, and I was lucky.
Ultimately I think that whilst the situation has given a bad taste and impression of poor service, you now have been dealt very kindly by Ping and have had the better of the deal. What is obvious though that AG had no further interest other than having taken your money and operated a dubious trade in deal (in the financial sense)

no Orded clubs on 6th Jan was told 7/10 days from original order.
Waited for arrival until 16 th Jan still not made at ping.
Then 26th Jan complained to AG and ping that they were 10 days late this is when I was given the 2nd March.
I did say in op that I was given this date after complaining last month.
do you still think that's ok.
They have sorted it now so hopefully I will have them on 6th March.
They have told me they don't have any heads so are giving me the new 2s instead.

To save me rereading it all again.

From what ive seen. I can see a little frustration with AG for taking an order they couldn't fulfil.

In regards ping. How many times did you chase them. Was it just the once when they told you 2nd of March?

if so then I'd suggest you should be praising them. Not complaining.
They said they should have heads to prepare yesterday, so would still not have been with you yet. And have now given you an upgrade.

Id say you've had a blinder. With the wedges. And the irons if I read correctly.

edit. Someone else got the iron upgrade.

Still appears they've been been giving good service recently whilst attemptomg to fulfil unrealistic orders.

Yes I admit it's turned out good for me .
But I think ping should have known weeks ago that they could not fulfil this order.
They told me in email 26th January New model was launching ,so why give me a date five weeks in the future.
I don't see how constantly complaining to them would help until after the 2nd March.
emailed them yesterday to complain and asked for the CEO s email address so maybe this had some bearing
I appreciate AG are only the retailer but I offered to pay for the upgrade five weeks ago and they refused my money.
Its sorted now so I can get used to them before the season starts.

My order was 6th January 17 the new Glide 2.0 did not go on sale until February 17 so when my order was taken it was the current model not a historical one .
It should not take 9 weeks to source remaining stock.
There seems to me a lot of people defending Ping and AG on this forum but if they had just given me what I Orded in a reasonable time I would have been happy with the old model.
But 9 weeks is that really good service I don't think so even if others think that's acceptable.

Im not saying you should complain to ping again. You chased then once. They gave you a date. So then you wait.

That dats come. You contacted them and they've sorted you out. You've done well.

Ag maybe shouldn't take orders if they know stock likely to be unavailable. But I've bought clubs in the past. Not from ping, where it's taken 5/6 weeks as they've sourced a head from another supplier. So I'd imagine they contacted other sellers to get old stock back.

My opinion is ag have been shoddy. Ping have been superb.

I suspect that stocks were being run down in readiness of the new model, which is something every manufacturer does and would do. The time frame may be becasue Ping were trying to bring more over from the States for oyu, I dont know just merely thinking in text.
I have no love for AG, but it seems it's Ping that have sorted you out, not AG.

Got a pair of shoes from the States it took two days.
AG can't give me the clubs until Ping have given them to AG .
ping have sorted it eventually but 9 weeks is that service.

AG took my order sent it to ping .
Ping should have told AG they could not fulfil order inform customer.
AG inform me Ping can't do clubs offer refund max 5 days to a week for admin not nine weeks can't see how Ping have been Superb.

Were the shoes in stock in the us?

if ping felt they had one lot of wedges anywhere on the planet, they're within there rights to source them. Home many inventorys and shops could they have contacted?

its clear you're not happy and wish to grumble. As is your right. But the general consensus is that you've done well out of it.

Youve got better clubs out of it. There's a plus for a start.

As mentioned in previous. How much stock do you think ping have worldwide to have to check to try and get you what you've asked for.

Coukd actually be viewed that ping have made an exceptionally good effort to get what you wanted. The previous model. And have then given you a free upgrade. If you were that appalled you could have refused the newer models on principle and gotten refund......

You sound like you work for Pings PR department.
I have already stated I have done well out of it EVENTUALLY.
but your idea of good service is not the same as mine.
Dont think that's going to change but thanks for your input.

Lol.

I wish!

As you say. Differing views on service.

Hope they work work well for you though. Lovely looking clubs!

Shocking service from both Ping and AG. Well done on the free upgrade, result!
No-one should have to wait 9 weeks for something they`ve already paid for.
