Ordered set of three Ping Glide wedges on 6th Jan 17.
original models modus shaft blue dot.
used the double trade in great deal.
my gripe is is this to long to wait as I still have not got them.
was given 2nd March after some complaining to AG last month.
Ping are selling Glide 2.0 and get the marketing ,
but if they can't or won't sort my order they should NOT have taken my money.
very disappointed with both parties as its getting a bit silly now.
Orded a set of Ping i200 had them in two days.

I am in the same boat. Ordered the I's irons and 3 glide wedges on 6th Jan. So far I have I blade irons (they seem to have got the spec right, if not the model) and two of the wedges. I appreciate that the I blade irons cost allot more that the I's so guess in one way I have done well.......

I'd go back and insist on exact date or refund and go somewhere else, not saying it's all AG's fault as I've seen recently a few of the brands not meeting orders for new clubs early doors, almost feels like they're restricting stock or underestimated the response.

What have AG said the issue is?
They haven't just blaming Ping.
all I could get out of them was a lack of heads
Its a great deal with my wedges as P/X but all I want is what I Orded that's not to much to ask for from two major businesses is it.
Its for the mk1 glides and asking for a refund just lets them off the hook.
I have asked Ping for the CEOs email address to see what he has to say.
Its more a matter of principle now pisses me off when firms do this.

you didn't get what you Orded so that's a matter o opinion.
Its just very poor service.

Had the same issue, AG were very good and allowed me to upgrade to the glide 2s at a discounted price.

Let us know how to get on with Ping.

Strange as you would think that AG would have a real pull with Ping but maybe they don't. Could you buy them from your local Pro?

I asked them 4 weeks ago could I do this and they just said no.
Reason given was they would have to cancel original order and were no longer taking wedges in trade in deals.
But they would honour original order so no matter what happened they would still get my wedges anyway.
I would have thought a little compromise here would not go Amis that is why I think AG are as much to blame as Ping.
Its a joke Ping and AG should be ashamed of themselves really BAD customer service.

I struggle to see how Ping can be blamed that much. It's AG who have to answer the questions. Ping have obviously moved production to the newer model, and I doubt whether they will continue to produce the previous version more likely they would be using up existing stocks wherever they are.
Ping can't be held responsible for AG's selling practises or methods, although I don't doubt that if you were to call Ping yourself they would be able to give you an idea of the stock situation and answer the burning questions you have.

Do American golf have your clubs?

If so go in and kick off and demand a refund say this is unacceptable, if you're not getting any joy try a different American Golf as the difference in service between them is ridiculous.

Sorry maybe I never explained properly.
It was Ping that gave me the 2nd March delivery date in an email I sent them over four weeks ago.
I took this email to AG when I asked could I upgrade to Glide 2 which were available immediately but that is when they said NO.
Ping told me they would not have the heads until 2nd March so they must be still producing this model or they would have told me they were not making them anymore.
AG were selling the glide wedges for £69 each so to change my mac daddy's for a set of glides was £74 for three new wedges no brainier.
That was a great deal so paid my money but up to now can only say the service from both Ping and AG has been woeful.

So let me see if I can get this right

You decided to take advantage of the double value trade in - so straight away you're getting clubs at a price a lot cheaper

What you wanted wouldn't be available until 2nd March - yesterday

So so far neither company don't seem to have done anything wrong

Because Ping told you that the clubs you wanted weren't available until the 2nd March - you tried to change your order but AG couldn't because their double value trade in had changed - again still not seeing what it is that either company have done wrong

Also reading what you have just posted the heads won't be available until 2nd March - yesterday , so they need to take a bit of time to build the clubs to their acceptable level of standard and then send them out for delivery - again still not seeing what either company have done wrong

So for me in summary neither company have done anything wrong - you exchanged clubs and were told that it could take a while and AG have told you that they will honour the original order that you placed. The problem is that the order you placed was going to take time.

So I see nothing AG have done wrong and Ping have communicated to you the timeline

Just had reply from Ping to say they don't have the heads to make my order so are giving me Glide 2s as a gesture of goodwill coming on the 6th March.
Thats great news but just feel this could have been resolved weeks ago.
They must have known for a while they could not fulfil this order and just think AG should have been a little more robust with them.
AG have missed out as I did offer to pay for the upgrade but was refused.
But a great result for me at the end of it all.
Thanks for all your comments.

no Orded clubs on 6th Jan was told 7/10 days from original order.
Waited for arrival until 16 th Jan still not made at ping.
Then 26th Jan complained to AG and ping that they were 10 days late this is when I was given the 2nd March.
I did say in op that I was given this date after complaining last month.
do you still think that's ok.
They have sorted it now so hopefully I will have them on 6th March.
They have told me they don't have any heads so are giving me the new 2s instead.

Yes I do think that's ok - it's the symptom of the double value trade and the timing and the clubs you wanted. I once waited 6 weeks for clubs after being told 3 weeks - I just showed patience and waited until they arrived. I realise that sometimes things go wrong and timings go wrong. No company is ever perfect just as we are never perfect.

Yes I accept we have to wait but I think they knew they would not have the heads .
so they are selling something they no longer manufacture and should have told me a lot sooner.
but 7/10 days has turned into 9 weeks if you think that's ok fair enough but I am afraid I don't.
