Picked them up this lunchtime....

Top man. I think you'll have a blinder this year with them. I was really torn between the R9's and the I15's and vanity (I had them two weeks before they went on general sale) won the day. I have to say I do like my R9's and had it not been for a stupid price on the TP's would have been in the bag for the foreseeable. However the TP's are different gravy and I'm hitting these so much better. Probably the best ball striking of any club since my R7's back in 2006

Rob, where are your new clubs right now?
locker? Car boot? or polished up for your next game? :)
Glad you didn't go for the soft reg, your not that old yet.
And now I see you've ordered a utility as well?
How hard can it be to sell cars :) :D ;)

I tried the MP-58 and MP-68's yesterday. Not so keen on the 58's but the 68's were amazing.

Decision time lol.

Picked up my i10's last week after being at Ping to change the lie, am ripping these irons on the range and the strip after my lesson ,there so easy to hit.
Changed from a set of MP52's am now thinking i wasn't good enough to get the best out of them.

C'MON THE PINGS :)

Sitting in the hallway all cleaned up and ready for another game today.
Have the 50 and 56 degree Tour-W wedges on order along with the 3 hybrid. Ordered them all with the same spec shafts as my irons. Hopefully, I will be a little more consistent with them.
With my Mizzies I had graphite shafts in my hybrids and it felt a bit strange going to one of them from the steel shafted irons.
I'm really hoping I get on with the i15 driver at Walton Heath. Love the look of it, and I could do with a driver that launches the ball a little higher than my G10. I love the G10 and it was great on Sunday when knocking it into the wind. But there are times when I'd like a little more height on my drives so the 11 degree option with a low kick point shaft could be a good alternative to have in the bag for when the wind isn't blowing. Just have to wait and see.

;)

Am I right in thinking you have the prolaunch red reg shaft in your driver?
I have the 9 deg version and I can hit it miles in the air if needs be.
Get yourself a new longer tee and budge it forward in your stance a tad and see how high it goes.

I thought the idea of the i15 was a lower, more penetrating flight.

What you're looking for is the game improver Rapture V2.

Simples

Ball flight characteristics of both of these drivers, (according to the Ping website) is "medium/high"... :D :D :D
I reckon an i15 11 degree fitted with a Prolaunch Blue shaft would give me the desired effect?

How many points do you think Smiffy got today?
I'd say, good conditions and good greens........35 pts
34 with a blob Bob

Those new wedges that he used today were .... ermmm new wedges :o :o :D :D

I must admit that I struggled a bit today. Decided to use the ancient irons again but shouldn't have bothered. Driving reasonably well but only 4 fairways hit (sometimes it's better there to go slightly left or right off fairway to open up the green :o) and only 3 GIR.

Still, good day out. As usual great company with Murph and JustoneUK, oh and Mr Magoo.

See, told you that you'd use them well.

Didn't use them particularly well yesterday to be honest Martin. It was one of those days where I was scoring despite not really hitting the ball as well as I know I can. Funny how this games goes sometimes. Been out and nailed the ball all the way round before and come off with 28 points yet yesterday I scabbed it around and had it not been down to playing the 2nd like an idiot would have played to my handicap. Didn't deserve it. But I'll take it....
