One of the worlds great now playing his golf upstairs. Winning five opens with three on the trot is something that will probably never happen in my lifetime. Bit before my time, but an impressive record.

I remember first seeing him on a black and White telly in the late 60s, I think it wasThe News of the World Match play at Wentworth.
He got on in two on one of the par fives using a 3 wood , quite an unusual feat in those far off days.
It was an incredible era in those days with many fine golfers playing.

Only know him post his playing career, but what a career. Always came across well in interviews.... time waits for no man
