Peter Crouch...

His burd's a belter too....!!

Fair play to big Crouchy. He was once asked :

"What would you have been if you weren't Prem League footballer "

Crouch " A virgin"

My uncle saw Robin play once and said he was definitely Englands answer to George Best only even more wayward than him;) A real character to boot as well. Stan Bowles was asked about Robin once and said you think I am a good player but he makes me look Crap. Tragic really he never showcased his talents and died in poverty due to Drink problems amongst others.

After he scored one goal, he ran up and kissed a policeman. Slightly out of character as he had a bit if previous with the law.;) He is still regarded by many as Reading's greatest ever player, me included. Brave as a lion, fantastic skills, a real showman, plenty of goals and a complete nutcase. Only played a few games for Cardiff before he walked out, but I know he is a legend with their fans as well. RIP

From the keeper kicking it out, to the ball hitting the back of the net, the ball never touched the floor once!

I remember Hans Gilhaus doing the same for the mighty dons in the early 90's (I think?) against Celtic.

Bobby Mimms kicked it out, Charlie Nicholas headed on and Gilhaus volleyed in from about 20-25 yards.

Those were the days as an Aberdeen fan :)

Didn't know about the policeman incident. Seen a picture of him wher he gave the opposing keeper the 2 fingered salute after he had scored a cracker past him:) Football is really missing proper characters these days. How I long for a return to the eighties and early nineties
