My leopard geckos may get a pinky mouse Christmas day - that's about it. 
My Mom used to buy presents for the spaniel we had. The dog would even rip the paper to bits to get to the toy and treats.

Do sprouts definitely make dogs fart??? If they do I'm off for a big bag, it will at least help to hide the odd one I sneak out when watching tv if I can get the dog doing more.....

Thanks for the thoughts, but he has lymphoma, and has dropped from 5 kilos to 2 in three months. It's just a matter of time. To an extend, it is our decision When he goes really. He seems happy enough, which is the main thing.

Our Rupert was diagnosed with Lymphoma 6 weeks ago, is currently undergoing Chemo. Sad we only got him last Dec from Rescue centre after him being mis-treated, and all this by the age of 4. Now his confidence is getting somewhere he gets this.
Like you as long as he is happy and has a quality of life we'll do everything in our power to give him a happy life. When he was diagnosed they said it could be as little as 2 months, get the news of how the Chemo is going this weds.

He's running round with a squeaky ball right now, wont rest till I get off the computer, it Rupert O clock in our house when I sit on the sofa and he come and curls up on me for the rest of the night. Its good cause HID then has to do all the fetching.

What a beautiful dog he is, like mine (Max) just from a rescue centre at 3 years old
I have come home from tours without friends and yet the only time I can remember truly breaking down was when I lost my dog of 12 years.

My neighbours wee girl opened her garden gate and their big lab escape tonight.
I said I would go out in the pouring rain and try to find him. Black Lab in the pitch black....some chance!
After an hour I gave up and was walking back when there was a wet nose at my hand.
Neighbours were so pleased that I had found him when in truth it was he who found me.

I know, he thought all his christmasses had come true when we rescued him from the dogs home, then we made him wear that.
I think if he could speak, he'd ask for a transfer back.
