The sky is clear, the ground crisp.

Afternoon off work, teeing off at 12.34, paying twilight green fees.

What could be better?

Good morning everyone :D

Morning Spoff

I'm waiting on the missus to get ready and she's off shopping and dropping me off for a couple of hours practice.

Should be a lovely day for it here , the suns out and no breeze to speak of.

Been in the office two and a bit hours so far, thought early start to clear a few things.

My eyes keep wandering to the window and my mind to the strategy over the first few holes...

Cold hard frost and brass monkeys here today, however the suns out and I am off today.

I have permission to golf today from the good lady and think I'll hit a few balls today about 12ish. Practice area or course, not decided yet.

Frost in sunny East Kilbride, but course had been a bit soft so the ground under foot was still okay. Winter greens but 18 holes morning and 14 afternoon, god bless shopping (Wife & daughter went clothes shopping).

Woke this morning to glorious blue sky and a frosty car windscreen. Got dressed, breakfast etc then took the child to school.
By the time I got back home and loaded the clubs into the car it was warming up nicely. Got to the club about 9.40 and I think everyone else was trying to catch up on their golf as the club had been closed all last week :).
Still blue sky as I walked off at 1.45 after playing 22 holes and I still cant decide which is the best shaft to have in my new irons :D :D.

It really was a terrific afternoon for golf.

My tee shots were not as good as last time out but managed putt better.

three drop shots, two poor topped tee shots and three putts that finished on the edge are eight shots I could have got back, in my eight over handicap round of 106.

I know I have the game to play a round in the low 90s - just not put it together yet!
