PC Problem. Please help!!

I have a scanned document on my PC which can be in either JPEG or BMP and I need to edit a bit of text on it before I can send it. The documents has images on it as as well. Can anyone help me as I need to edit the small bit of text and then get the new version sent.

Only way to do it is to import it into an image manipulation program (ie GIMP or photoshop) and use the text function to overwrite the areas in the same font. Then merge down the layers (after lining them up of course) and you have something fairly decent.

I did it on a joke poster for someone once but I would not advise it as a regular thing as its blummin hard work!

Or download a trial version of omnipage It is a good OCR program that most doctors surgeries use over here to convert letters to digital editable copies.

Thanks for the replies. Downloading Omnipage now. Is it an easy program to use ? There is literally just a few letters that I need to chabge and then it is ready to send
