PARMO

Firstly, lets calm it down, things got nasty like this once before and it was no fun.

Secondly, Divot, You have no right to ask for somebody to be banned and if you have a concern contact the moderator rather than make a public broadcast requesting such.

Thirdly, as madandra says, MikeH is the editor of GM, he is not responsible for the running of the forum aswell, calling on him to get involved is a bit naughty and I'm sure the man is busy enough without being asked to intervene in petty squabbles.

Finally, This forum has been flourishing lately but there is too much nonsense-posting on here (I am as guilty as anybody) and it does need to calm down. The guys at GM have become very involved with the forum and this is a great thing for all of us. However if the forum ends up like a juvenile playground why should they want to get involved with us guys.

Lets draw a line under all the bitching, bad-feeling, pissing & moaning and animousity between users. Lets put the handbags away & lets try to limit the truly pointless posts/threads and make this what it can easily be, the best golf forum in the land.

Was sitting on the bus on way home from work scribbling down almost the same, ready to start a new thread.

Well said MWJ

I agree with MWJ but still have no idea what sparked it all off.
Parmo's supposed to have been a naughty boy somewhere along the line I take it.
He's proved he's a gentleman and apologised so it should be the end of it now.

Who's for a group hug????

If thats the sort of thing you want to post on here parmo go ahead and lets se how long you last, lets all ask the mod what he thinks of it, not much by the looks of it thats why the post was removed,

perhaps we shoud have a 'gentlemens' agreement not to comment on deleted threads/posts....as i along with others dont have a clue what is being referred to in this case.can we not all play nicely ?

Divot,

All you are doing by continuing to go on about this is fuelling the readership's curiousity because none of us know what Parmo actually posted. I can't have been that bad? Don't tell me, HE HAD A VILLA IN SPAIN TO RENT OUT AND SPAMMED OUR FORUM?

Send round the heavy mob.

Guys! what you all doing?

ay ay ay calm down calm down!!!

To coin a phrase. "this conversation is over"

I don't know what is going on here, but there's enough (that I've glanced at) to request that this whole thread is removed.

People write some odd stuff, and then regret it. Quite why the edit time is so short (i've tried to delete the odd post, and failed......MikeH?) I don't know.

I hope to see this removed.

theres a couple of threads id like to see removed. including one of my own purely because for some reason people thrive on writing negative stuff when all they need do is ignore it and let the people who do care have there view

I don't mind views MVP, and yes, we can ignore them, but filth is filth, and links to distasteful material would be removed on any other forum, free speech or not.

Should a few of us not be assigned to moderate???

Should a few of us not be assigned to moderate???

Absolutely Not let the GM team sort it out.

I know for a fact if a certain few people here who consider themselves worthy of being moderator on here will take advantage of the position. let a neutral force from the GM sort it out.

Why not? I moderated for a while on another forum.

It seems to me that the whole forum has got big and (at times) a tad unruly. Can you imagine how some of these posts might look to a newbie???

GM can't police it night and day, a few moderators could, seems sensible to me.

dunno? what does everyone else think?
