I ordered a pair of Sunderland waterproof trousers off this outfit www.pargolfonline.co.uk on 8th March for £64.99. Now the 20th and no sign of the order. Have phoned a few times and no-one picks up, just goes to answerphone and have emailed several times as yet unreplied. Used them in the past with no problems.
Does anyone know if this lot has gone under or had any bad experiences with them?
Take the money quick enough of course then appear to offer dreadful customer service.
Want a refund, what should I do?
Any forumers live near Chelmsford so that I can get them to hassle this lot at the door?

Seems to be a fair few golf retailers going under at the moment. Pricebuster golf went under but were taken over and re-started. Percentage golf, a company I had great service from have also disappeared.

They appear to be owned by a group called the Leisure Marketing Company so you could try contacting them for confirmation that pargolfonline are still trading.

Did get through on another number that is meant just for clothing sizing advice, said they needed to order the trousers now (not 12 days ago) despite taking my cash 12 days ago and not letting me know - tsssk! Sounded like excuses to me.
Asked for a refund which they said they'll do, takes 48 hrs apparently.

Moral of the story - I won't be using them again!

Only live here now, not really from here if you know what I mean but I am mildly frugal by nature so you're probably right - when in Rome and all that.
Anyway pot and kettle - I thought the Edinburgh saying was "You'll have had your tea!"

That's only in the Morningside and Marchmont areas of town !

Proper tea in those places , so, you don't want to waste it! :D

pargolfonline......ok......got that down in my black book of t'internet no go zones.

Isn't it great.....they've either messed up or are too busy to provide a good service or they're in trouble.....BUT, (and here's the best bit) by mentioning your strife with them and not helping you out;- you, me and all the rest of the forum can boycott them for the time being. POWER TO THE PEOPLE.

I got an order from online this am....hats off to those guys.....

I'm steering clear of 118golf as well, after my callaway 3H took a month to come.....they sold it to me and never had it in stock, how's that for service.....they didn't come clean until a 'phoned them and gave em typical RGuk grief!!

I have also had problems with 118golf, they just forgot to send my order.

Onlinegolf have my business now. As an example of what they will do in the way of customer service, a mate of mine bought a Nike driver 2 weeks before they introduced an offer of 30 Nike one platinum balls with every Nike driver purchased. He sent an email asking if they would consider sending him some and 2 days later a dozen balls arrived on his doorstep.

Here's the latest. After agreeing to refund me I got back online and bought a pair of Stuburt waterproof trousers from a seller on Ebay.
Pargolfonline have just emailed me saying actually the original trousers I ordered with them are actually in the mail and gave me a tracking number.
FFS I don't need 2 pairs of waterproof trousers so I guess I decide which pair are best when they arrive and sell on the other one.
Who said internet shopping was easy! :(

Birdieman, I'd still tell pargolfonline to stuff it. Tell them you still want your money back (as agreed) plus postage and packaging to send the trousers back to them.

They might think twice about mucking around other customers....

Call me old fashioned but I'm really choosy about my golf gear and as a result hardly ever purchase anything online. I'd rather go to my pro or AG so that I can try before I buy.

I'd rather try a set of waterproofs or shoes on before parting with my money so I'm safe in the knowledge it is going to fit

Similarly if I want new clubs, driver or putter and have gone to the trouble of trying the different options I don't then want to have to wait for delivery before I can use them.

Having said that I am not a complete dinosaur and for consumables such as umbrellas, towels, balls, hats etc I do use online stores. Greg Nicholson have been very good and I rate Online golf

Homer, I'd been tempted to use Greg Nicholson but their customer care rating on price comparison websites is terrible, glad to see you've found them ok.

As I say I only buy sundries online so if an umbrella or towel goes missing for any length of time its no big deal. So far so good for me but because they are small items I guess always in stock and easy to post

direct golfs online service I have found very good, as was that of online golf. I contemplated paying for next day delivery but didn't bother and got my order the next day anyway. Can't moan at that. Brilliant product as well.
