Please don’t ask to see my tatts 👍
Me mum and dad have. He turned up yesterday in a VW Passat at 10.35 and delivered it. Good pay nowadays it seems.
Wonder if a boy or girl would do what I did back in the day - £2 a week for a 7 day week and up at 5:45am so I could get home for my dad finishing breakfast and heading out to work - most houses took two weekday papers (usually Glasgow Herald and Scottish Daily Express) and Sunday weighed a ton...
Mind you - it was fun when I could use my sledge...sat on it whizzing downhill with my paperbag between my knees![]()
Sounds idyllic to be honest
£2 For just 7 days work!!
Your dad had something called breakfast!
You had a home!
Your dad had a job!
You lived and worked in Scotland!
You had a sledge!
You had a paperbag!
You kids don’t know you’re born![]()
That's how it was - and actually the £2 was quite a lot (well it was compared with my pocket money which was maybe 25p a week)![]()
Not even the DM? Don't knock it until you've tried itNo idea. We've never bought a newspaper.
