Oxford restaurant recommendations

If you're foodies, 215 (https://www.twoonefive.co.uk) is the successor to the Oxford Kitchen which had a Michelin star. Same chef is in charge and a lot of the dishes are the same, we had the tasting menu when it was still the Kitchen and it was amazing. Superb matched wines too, but not cheap!

Not lived in Oxford for a few years but Gee's used to be very good. It's about a fifteen minute walk out of the centre, along the Banbury Road.

Yes we enjoyed it there twice a couple of years ago. Thought we'd have a change. No 1 Ship Street is in the frame at the moment

No eaten there. Good reputation though. Another couple that we've not sampled ourselves but come highly recommended by friends are The Folly and The Cherwell Boathouse.

We had lunch at the Folly on a hot summer day a couple of years ago. Not unexpectedly, very crowded and noisy. Good food, poor service.
The Boathouse looks good and they have a table available

Edit: Got them the wrong way round. Now corrected

Hope you have a great meal, wherever you end up!

Thanks. Family consensus was to go for No 1 Ship Street. But my wife & I are staying on for another night so still thinking about it. But as we are in the Old Bank we might eat there.
