4 Brits in the top 8 of OWGR this week.
Was 4 in top 6 last week.

Anyone know when last time that happened?
Can’t think it ever has.
Happy to be proven wrong.
All good for European team.

You really think OWGR is relevant these days ?
Like any ranking system it is flawed.
Whether it is relevant or not is a different question entirely from the one I asked.

To the players involved it is certainly relevant as it can determine who gets to play in certain tournaments.

I was simply asking if anyone knew if Brits have been so heavily represented at the top before. I thought it was a fairly straightforward question.
Not controversial at all.

Think there have been times when Donald, Westwood &,McIlroy have been at 1, and had others in top 10. But probably not as many as now.

Bit early for RC talk IMO, check in again in 18 months 🙂
Although the owgr is known for moving much slower moving players down, than up. Recent form is useful for RC.

Yeah bit early for RC conversation.
17 Europeans in top 50 is a good position to be in to get opportunities to play in top tournaments for that highest level competition.
The more realistic options Donald has the better as the quality depth dropped quite sharply after number 12 last time….not that it mattered.
