Over the moon!!

Fantastic news Smiffy. I know exactly what you feel escaping from a boss like that. I`ve worked for a couple in the past and the feeling of overwhelming relief when you get another job is unbelievable.

Heartiest congratulations :D

Thanks for all the kind wishes lads (and lass).
Thoroughly enjoying my new job. I wish it had happened years ago.
I actually turned around to Sam this morning and said "I'm looking forward to going in to work this morning"...something I haven't said for ages.
And as we were locking up the showroom this evening, Louise (the other salesperson there, a very attractive 23 year old) said "It's been a pleasure working with you this week Rob".
Those few words said it all.

As far as the new job goes I am on the same basic salary (which is good) but my commission will increase because as Bob mentions above, my old *** of a boss had been manipulating it so that I earnt less and less.
In my old job I was working every other Sunday and getting a day off (Wednesdays) every week.
New job...still get Wednesdays off every week but only have to work one Sunday in five so will get a lot more time for golf/fishing whatever!
We've got 8 more new Nissans to sell by the end of June to hit our quarterly target and the sales manager said that if I sell 3 of them for him he will treat me to a days golf at a top golf course as a bonus! How good is that?
Unfortunately I still won't be able to make Beau as it's too short notice to get the time off work at the new place, but all of my other holiday commitments are being honoured, despite the fact that they fall at the busiest time of the year for new car sales. When I booked the holidays I was only selling used cars, so it didn't really matter. But they have done the decent thing so once again I am well chuffed.
Oh and it's a Qashqai by the way Bob. A nice Diesel one at that on an 11 plate! Cushty.
Once again, thanks for all your kind wishes. Hopefully my health will get back to where it belongs within a short space of time.
Rob

Rob,

Best news I've heard in a long while.

As you will sometimes look back to where you were, it will make the new job feel even better than you thought possible.

Well pleased for you mate and look forward to seeing you at Blackmoor - get 'em in!! :D :D

Golfmmad.

Bit worried about your prospective sales bonus's Rob. Customers have the choice of buying a car off an attractive 23 year old called Louise, or an ancient old letch like you. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm wonder which one i would choose. :D :D

Congratulations! Really chuffed for you.

It sounds a better job, chance to earn more money, more time off for golf, potential to play top courses f.o.c. and a hottie to gawp at.

Hang on, I'm no longer chuffed for you. I'm flat out jealous! ;)

sounds like good allocation of resource. Louise for the younger market and Smiffy for the old dears.

Well done pal. :D

Massive news! Congrats Rob, glad to hear things are looking up. Louise sounds marvellous :D

You can hear how happy you are from reading your posts. I know where to come when I need a new Nissan!

Good news Smifster. Can't have been good for your health and well being with all that stress. The big plus is you'll do well now your re-energised and flog more = more commission = sales targets and golf at top notch courses and you'll impress that 23 year old sales totty. Every one a winner
