Other than golf what's everyone missing most?

Work....
Driving around, being driven around
Wincing at the desperately piss poor driving of others...
Evading potholes
Wowing the kids by predicting when traffic lights are going to change because I know the phasing.
Cleaning my clubs
Thinking about changing said clubs
Deciding against it
Deciding to do it
Deciding to not decide...yet.

Something to look forward to at the end of the week, be it golf, eating out, seeing my daughter, weekend break or just the freedom to do something on the spur of the moment.

There doesn't seem to be a beginning or end to the week right now, just days.

As they say you don't know what you have until it's gone, and when all this is finally over will try not to take such basic things for granted....

GBC

Weekends.

Right now it’s just a big blur of days. Sitting here on a Sunday (I believe) doing some work just cause there’s not much else to do. :(

Sport, watching it, following it.

Cinema

General freedom to move and go where I want, usually with a piece of cake at the end of it.

Ended up scrolling through the many TV channels this week for something to watch and some how ended up finding then watching for 5 mins anyway (pre recorded) competitive log chopping .... and we're only in week two .....

Ha ha. A couple of weeks ago I saw a clip on Facebook of a massive bar, full of people watching tv screens. Pretty sure it was during an England penalty shoot out in the last world cup. Some clever bod had super imposed a game of bowls on the screens. As a bowl came to rest against a jack the whole bar erupted. Text came up at this point suggesting this is what we will stop to whilst sport has been cancelled. How true those words were ?

Family,Work, sport and general freedom of just getting up and doing stuff.

i hate doing nothing, I have a very low boredom threshold. One thing this lockdown has made realise is how busy my day to day life is.

taking kids to school, work, getting home in time to take boy to footy/daughter to drama etc general running here there for this, that or another.

I'm missing playing bowls ,it's my current or should I say was my current hobby of choice.
I'm missing going fishing ,playing golf ,my pool playing nights with my son and generally being able to do what I like when I like ,as most on here would atest to I'm sure.

On a day like today, taking the motorbike out. It might get as far as the drive for a wash & polish but that'll be it. It'll get one run in the foreseeable future to pick up some stuff I need to work from home but that'll be it.

Other than that, work (we have a good craic in the office), the golf club, the cinema, concerts, meals out and football.

Basically, freedom; we don't appreciate how lucky we really are until something like this happens.

Me and the wife were talking about this yesterday and we came to the conclusion that our lives haven't been disrupted as much as most others. I obviously miss golf but the only other thing I normally do is take the dog out which I still do and the wife misses seeing her daughter and the only other thing she does is food shopping which still happens. We both have chronic illnesses so our lives were fairly limited before this happened.

It’s what my son is missing out on that bothers me the most, I can just about cope with working from home, no golf etc.
He turns 18 in May so it’s looking likely that a visit to the pub for a pint together to celebrate is out the window, his first lone holiday with the lads from his football team to magaluf was all paid up and booked for June highly unlikely to go ahead.
And finally his weekend at Transmit and accommodation was all paid for, none of it looking likely to happen so not the best year for him.

Going to the football with my daughter and mate. I can only keep in touch with both of them by email.:( Not missing that horrible feeling that lasts the weekend when we lose.

I usually go with one of my best mates, his lad who is my god son and my ultimate bestest mate my boy. Luckily I still get to see my lad every day so not all doom and gloom....

What's this lose thing you mention?.....?
