I play on a tree lined municipal course, leaves all over....which colour is the best to play to find the ball the easiest?lost balls account for a lot of ruined cards from now till jan/feb,i know if the ball is completely coverd colour isnt an issue..and lessons with the pro would help keep the ball on the fairway, lol, some balls are lost on the faiway...I play a Srixon AD333 i see they are selling them in orange now ,,,,any help please.....I play of 20 handicap..

I heard pink are good... I'll 'leaf' it up to you to decide accordingly. When it's under a leaf you won't find it no matter what colour it is, so I stick to white.

As justone said,if its off the fairway you re going to have trouble finding it anyway, but try using different colours and see what suits you best, also a bit of course management to try and keep the ball on the short stuff works well....

Not orange. It blends in to will with the leaves at this time of year. I would say Yellow if its not to sunny, white normally and orange if there's a frost on the ground once the leaves are blown away.

20 years ago I tried using orange golf balls. You could lose one on a clear day, in the middle of the fairway. They are almost flippin invisible. They shouldn't be, but they are. Must be the same luminous intensity as grass or something. Orange on green, sounds fine, in practice, it doesn't work at all.

Whats wrong with just using a coloured Sharpie to "colour" them in. A bit of red/blue/green/black whatever should give it a stand out colouring rather than using an inferior ball just cos its orange/yellow :D

I remember when Titleist did a lot of their balls in orange and yellow in the 80's and to be honest I found I lost the orange ones a lot easier than the yellow. I've tried the Srixon Z Star in yellow but once you stray off the fairways at this time of year it really doesn't matter what colour it is as the whole thing becomes a lottery

I was playing with someone a couple of weeks ago who was using an orange srixon. it was really easy to track in the air. no easier to find in a gorse bush that a white one though. :D
