Operation Scratch

1. Neil is great and was my first coach. He got me on the path and helped me when I was establishing the possibility of turning pro one day.

Is he still there?
I remember one other guy called Jamie Brough, good player, not long by any stretch of the imagination, but very consistant.

2. Being a member of Mid Sussex you may recall the issues with drainage they have meant its adopted the name 'Mud Sussex'.

They HAVE drainage!?? :D :D

3. Whens the Worthing Open?

27th Aug

4. I kind of adopted the stack and tilt but got it all wrong in that I just put all my weight on the left leg, straightened the right and all hell broke lose after that. That was some time ago and I am now shifting weight correctly.

I was pointing this out to my fellow 'tilter' just a few days ago. He said it was easier to ingrain the feeling by overdoing it to start with, which I agree as I found myself doing it too at the start, up to 80% was on my left side before I even started my swing

Is he still there?
Yes he is. Solid golfer that has established a great golf school. Have not heard of Jamie.

LOL - Not really

Neil was the first to talk me out of this. I was hitting down on the ball so much and when I got ahead of the ball I would sling it off to the right.

I plan to post videos on my blog and Youtube channel that show how my swing has evolved. Incidentally you can go to my youtube channel if anyone wants to see how my swing looks.

P.S. I am going to be using slower speeds as I record my swing as it progresses.

Is he still there?

Yes he is - saw him there about 2 weeks ago. Actually the course was holding up better than expected - no temporary tees or greens.

Living in Ditchling I go there quite often and I think the course actually stands up OK during the winter compared to others (Haywards Heath, Piltdown). They tend to stick on the main tees and greens rather than using temporarys (for better or worse). A good local track, albeit not particularly memorable.

😄 Last post was in 2010 so maybe he's too busy playing with Westwood et al to keep us up to date.

When I first started reading this I thought it was current until the last few posts and I spotted the year!
