still a couple of inches of snow here in leicestershire, not much chance of playing for a few days yet.
off all next week, can anyone confirm any courses open within say 1 1/2 - 2 hours drive from me in leicester?

The only ones who may be open would be on the coast, but then the East coast is meant to have more snow.

South Coast is thawing (Hayling Island is open on temps)

A few days ? it supposed to get down to minus silly figures around here all next week. I doubt we will be allowed on the course until the middle of January at this rate

Still the Frozen Wastelands Up Here and was -9 at 0900hrs this morning. More snow forecast for the beginning of the week so not much chance of golf in the near future.

Looking at the weather it should be melted by mon/tues, I'm a member at Lingdale which is only 15mins away.

East Lothian getting a decent thaw today, Craigielaw/Gullane/Luffness etc was still all white yesterday though.

We should have temps between 2-7 degrees Sunday/Monday so should have a good thaw followed by rain on Tuesday!

Absolutely freezing outside, so cold it tightened your chest up!

Cannot see any possibility of a round yet.

A herd of bull elephants I think. Some members live on the edges of the course and are probably too lazy to walk round. Saying that, the course has a couple of great hills for sleding going by the amount of wee feckers out there last week.

Yep, Metcheck reckons temps up to 6 or 7 on Wednesday and staying there, so hoping to be out later this week.

According to all the online forecasts for my area it's going to slowly start to thaw from tomorrow. So with abit of luck i might get out on weds/thurs.
