Aye a lad who played a few games for my team at Goswick a couple of years back finished with 2 bogeys in last 5 to miss by 2 at Barassie.....must be gutted.Would have been great to have seen him there,he is the spitting double of Sid the Sexist from Viz magazine......not sure how the R&A would have taken to Sidney strolling down the 1st with his shirt with the cock logo on it!!!......Tits ooooot!

A pro playing out of my club just missed out at the Glasgow course (Gailes links), didn't make it this time but seemingly gave a great account of himself nonetheless. He was joint leader after round one, but couldn't carry the form into round 2.

Our man Markus Brier made it "easily" after failing to qualify for US Open by a shot. Hope he can improve on his T12 from his last outing 2007

I play at cumberwell. There is certainly a buzz at the club now that he has qualified. Hopefully he can do some damage up there!
