Huddersfield back in the second flight for the 1st time in 11 years..........going to be a happy night tonight...well done lads.....think we've found a new hero in U21 goalie Smithies...made some fantastic saves and scored the winning pen............

Yes, the penalty shoot-out was nearly as exciting as the one last Saturday evening in a football match that actually meant something............. :ears:

And we had that **** Sepp Blatter in the week saying that penalty shoot-outs should be scrapped? Just goes to show the bloke is an absolute tool and should not be running football!!

Enjoy celebrating Rick.

Why not - quite happy to watch two teams that I care nothing for!! Will even bring the eldest boy - he loves his footie and is a right statto - I'll sit him next to you!!

1st half was boring but game came to life in second half with Town hitting the bar and having 2 or 3 efforts cleared off the line....they were the much better side, and were the deserved winners.

as an OWLS fan I can only offer my sympathy to the many BLADES fans that didnt get to the match in time, being to the altercation on the M1,BTW MR Evans can be seen on "wish you were here" most days this week.

GET IN!!!!

I was there and have to say my nereves were completely frazzled. Felt a bit sorry for the Blades fans who were sat in the sunny section of the stadium.
22 penalties!!! Not good for the nervous system.
Town were not too good in the 1st half but came very close to sealing it in the 2nd. Danny Wards effort looked certain to be going in but was saved by the woodwork.

Fantastic day out in the sun. Enjoyed by everyone there before the penalties!!!

M1 was a bloody nightmare on the way down. Approximately 400 miles driven today. Not been home long, still buzzing but mentally and physically drained.
Championship football for the Terriers next season, can't wait, bring it on!!!

UTT.

CONGRATULATIONS Basher old boy, really pleased for you. One of the worst games of football I've ever seen but hey you got the result. See you at Elland road next season.

I'm pleased for you. As a Palace fan it does my heart good to find proper football supporters who support real teams, and dont come in to work every week with "we're still top of the Premiership then" when they dont see their team play, dont even have Sky to watch it live and call themselves supporters cos of 4 minutes of MOTD!
Rant over!

Absolutely over the moon! Was a terrible game, and after we missed our first three penalties I thought there was no chance of us going up.
Got to say that Peter Clarke was incredible today, put his body on the line time and again, a true captain's performance. Hopefully we can sign Sean Morrison permanently to partner him in defence because he's been outstanding for us since he came in on loan.
Commiserations to the Sheff Utd fans though, hopefully they will join us in the Championship next year!

Well done Terriers. Missed it all live going to visit my mum in hospital. Sat through the highlights and not sure how I'd have coped being a fan of either team and having to endure that. Just wondering if Smithies is the U21 keeper if Woy might promote him to the full side so he can get a feel for the set up even though he won't get to play. Good preparation for a keeper that seems destined for good things

Unless we're in the Premiership.....
Now that's a dream, but with Deano as chairman I suppose anything can happen! Just delighted to be out of league one, anything that happens next season is a bonus, but I have a feeling we'll make the play-offs with a few quality additions, especially in the midfield area.
