Online estate agents

My youngest daughter and her fiancee have been in the market trying to buy a house. Purple bricks were a complete nightmare to deal with. From her dealings with the modern house buying process, stick with a bricks and mortar local agent unless you want agents who have no interest in you, your house or prospective buyers as they are on a fixed minimal fee.

Based on my daughters experience I would avoid PurpleBricks.
They were very good at the initial contact and quite speedy at getting her house on line. Then nothing. No advice, no feedback, no chasing.
After a frustrating month, she went with the agent of the house she was buying (Ewe Move) Sold it within a week at the asking price.
The difference was a better marketing plan, better photos and most importantly they did the viewings.
After going through a complaints procedure she agreed to pay PurpleBricks £500.
