You have been given a time machine which will give you one trip back to a time of your choice.

Mine would be Oct 1986 when I arrived in Rheindahlen Germany and spent 8 brilliant years there. Except for the 4 iron I hit hit on the 16th at Bruggen GC in the final of the RAFG scratch knock out. I'd like to hit that shot again.
Apart from that, brilliant country, climate, people and scenery.

When would you go to?

Rome, May 1984.

Balmy (and barmy) night, 13 years old, week long coach holiday to see the reds. 2 nights on ferries, 2 nights in Austria, 2 nights in Anzio with a coach full of mad posties, and my arl fella.

My dad said that I could drink, as long as I didnt go mad (we both did). Real father and son bonding.

The reds lifted ol' big ears, in the lions den.

Smartly attired in 19" semi-flares, Radio city T shirt and a nice pair of blue Trim-trabb - what more could a boy want?

Mmm, tough one. I sometimes wonder what might have happened if I'd accepted a 2 year sponsorship deal from Honeywell in '76. Dad and I didn't see eye to eye over that one, and I didn't pick a club up for a few years. I'm happy with the choice I made but I do wonder...

I’m still too young for something in my own lifetime. The current years I am living are the ones I want to enjoy the most.

My three year old however would probably say something to do with dinosaurs...

Erasure concert at the Docklands Arena in January 1990 for who I was with and what I should have said to her.

Some time in 1993 when I decided to go to University instead of joining the Royal Marines. Wrong choice was made. Not unhappy with how things turned out, but I do wonder...

Honeywell must of been a big company then, they did a lot of the management systems on rigs I’ve been on.
Why did you turn it down?

I've been to the year 3000. Not much has changed but they live underwater.
And your great great great granddaughter is pretty fine.

I played golf for fun, it was my release. And I thought I wasn't good enough. And the European tour only ran for 6 months max. After that it was either sell Mars bars for the other 6 months or the Sunshine tour.

I would go back to 3100BC then I would find the builders who where starting Stonehenge and get them to move in back a bit away from the A303 as I’m fed up being stuck in traffic on a daily basis while people slow down to look at it.

Maybe I'd just go back one year and tell an ex girlfriend of mine not to be at a specific place on a specific date.
Alas, I can't do that and she remains a murder victim. :(

Spent 8years growing up in Laarbruch and went to school in JHQ for a couple of years.

Top place, haven’t been back for 20 years, would like to go back to see how much Weeze has changed.

Great times.
