One swing or two?

So 'apart' from, plane, AoA, swing path, speed, club length etc etc, then we've all only got one swing

Can't help thinking of Reg asking "what have the Romans ever done for us" :D

2.
1 for irons, hybrid and fairways -relatively controlled
1 for the driver which has a mind of its own and generally a disaster......😥

I've not given it a thought. Take stance, same as with irons, and grip, same as with irons, club head behind ball etc etc. It's the same swing I guess.

When watching golf on the tellybox, do you hear the commentators say player x has a great swing or swings?

This is what as caused me my problems this year, I have now got a decent iron swing but when I tried to apply it to my woods they went all over the place, so much so that I tried to get back my old flat swing for my woods and couldn't find it.
Its only this last week that I have seen a big improvement with the new swing, although it is still not 100%

I would say with a driver I will be more aggressive through impact than with an iron. The ball is teed up so I try to give it a bit of a whack. Irons I'm looking to be a bit more controlled.

Same swing but more aggressive or different swing movements?

OK....enlighten me. Those that reckon they have 2 swings, what is the difference between them?

With driver I take the club away much wider, that's my thoughts anyway as my AoA is too steep with driver so trying to flatten the swing out. I'm trying to separate driver and iron swing thoughts as when one is good the other isn't.

Pretty much the same swing, but different sets ups, depending on what I am trying to do. Wider stance and ball just inside my left heel for drives. Stance gets narrower and ball a bit further back as I go down through the irons.

That's where we differ, I have the same stance and ball position from 3 wood to lob wedge, the ball just gets closer to me.

I have one swing and two setups, less to practice, less to go wrong.

All j need now is more than one round every 6 weeks.

Yeah pretty much, I set up and stand the same way for all clubs from 3 wood to wedge for full shots.

The driver is the only conciously different setup.

I have just those two stances and one swing.

I aim to keep things as simple as possible. I don't play a lot of golf and I don't want to spend time trying to remember 50 gazillion things.

I am forever trying different swings.

Probably why I can be on one day and off the next.

Today for last few holes I tried a furyk type swing with driver. Worked a treat.
Super steep back then shallow out hard.

Will file it in the "try this again" folder.
