not by myself, but I was marking the card.

Played in a YBM yesterday and one of the 3 is a junior member. all 6'5" of him mind you (what do they feed kids on these days??)

anyway - he plays off 8 and systematically dismantled the course for a gross 69, nett 61. Unbelievable golf. it looked so simple, straight forward and easy. Fairways, greens, couple of putts and walk on, apart from missing a hole in one by a matter of inches.

And the best part of all this, he's a really polite, corteous and respectful individual who displayed excellent ettiquette on the course, far more than can be said of some 'senior' members.

It was a real treat and a pleasure to watch. Shame of it is he won't be allowed to pick up the sweep money due to his age :(

managed to hack my way to a nett 72 (2 over), including an 8 + 7

That takes me back some twenty five years or so when a young buck called Homer was capable of such feats. Sadly, beer and women caught up with me and my game went forever.

We have a couple of juniors who are similar and like yours actually appreciate they are good golfers but are humble with their talents and have a grasp on how to behave. We also have some that think they are better than they are and have real chips on their shoulders. Their arrogance at times is something to behold. I hope these youngsters will get taught how to behave responsibly by members but fear that despite many adult members trying to teach them about being a good club member it will fall on deaf ears

We also have a triving junior section and i have played with a couple of the lads and they are terrific kids. Polite good company well coached in the etiquette of the game.

From the comments of others this game is in safe hands.
