One course for the rest of your golfing life?

Tough choice between Berkshire Red, Swinley Forest and Hankley Common.

I know Hankley the best and I have never not enjoyed playing there. Only played he others once but loved them both.

On balance I think I'd go for The Berkshire Red. Superb layout, great mix of holes (6 par 3s, 6 par 4s and 6 par 5s) and guaranteed to be in good nick. I assume fees are all paid for!

Love links, but they would beat me up on a regular basis. Probably too cold and windy in the winter. Rules our Royal County Down and St Andrews Old.

Would have to be a heathland course where you get good drainage, and reasonable winter weather. Sunningdale New fits the bill, and I could always sneak on the Old when no one was looking.;)

Seaton Carew, 22 holes which can be configured into 5 Courses.

Hmm... tricky

Is it a given that the gang from your home course are playing with you? It would be darned hard to give up the camaraderie of our regular weekend swindle just to play a different course.

On the other hand, sod 'em - Royal Dornoch (but I might change my mind after my first winter ...)

It's a coin toss between Anahita and il aux Cerf Mauritius. Make it best of three tosses, no best of five, no best of.......... Poor old Slab has to slum it on those most weekends. My nearest course is a pit tip then Sherwood.
