One course for the rest of your golfing life?

Cruden Bay

You wouldn't get the same entertainment you did last time though, Darren...

Hotchkin pips it for me over S&A and Formby. Hopefully the course changes over winter will make it even better.

Besides which, the Hotchkin seems to generate money for me :D

Course wise, it would have to be Thorndon Park, just love the layout. Not to hard, not to easy, not to hard a walk, just right for the weekly whack around even when you get older and greyer and for a life time of playing. Only problem now is that it is 200 miles away

Close second would be The Buckinghamshire, what from the fairway watering system, to the feeling in the clubhouse, just brings back good memories.

La Quinta Mountain course. Perfect weather and some stunning holes.

More realistically, I'd be quite happy to only play at home - Machrihanish - if I wasn't allowed to play anywhere else.

I'm not sure if others are also taking age into account, as it would still have to be enjoyable at say 70 or even 80 years of age.

I'm tempted to say Hillside, but think it would be a bit too hilly by then, Delamere is also a consideration as wouldn't be as cold or windy, but is still hilly.

Ganton is a great shout, based on that, or Carnoustie, or S and A, or Wallasey.

Oo great question, BTW.

I was tempted to say Cinque ports or Hoylake but I just couldn't play links every day though
