We had a medal on saturday and the conditions couldn't have been better, that would explain why the winning score was 11 under, a kid of 22 got cut to 17.5. I finshed fourth, shooting a 67 and was cut to 13.7 from 14.9, but I couldn't hit an iron for toffee and horse-shoed a birdie putt from 4 feet, I also had 3 double bogeys and 2 birdies. I would say that this is good times because as soon as I get the irons sorted I'll be expecting a low score. Is anyone else expecting a good summer?

Well done m8 nice scoring and a nice little h/c reduction to kick start the competition season.

I was expecting a good season but i've decided to remodel the swing due to inconsistencies and have given up worrying about the comps til next year, What happens will happen

I think the way you are playing and the long school holidays looming and having seen your swing you should be aiming for single figures. Go get the short game sorted as that is where the shots are saved and maybe a refresher lesson and then look forward to armfuls of trophies.

I'm getting there personally. I'm still inconsistant but feel my short game is starting to improve and if I can get my putting boots on things would look rosier. I have a nasty snap hook that has materialised over the last week but had been striking it well prior to that. I've revised my goal for the year and would be happy to be off 12 by the end of the summer.

Well done mate!, I myself shot 9 over playing off 18 yesterday in the junior roll-up so that will give me a nice cut. Still had a 4putt and 5 3putts, 3 double bogeys and a drive OB on 17.

Oh the benefits of your last year in school, 11th of June to the 14th of september is full on golf!
