On hunt for new Driver

I'm in the hunt for a new driver and plan to try out plenty before i part with any cash. In addition i will get custom fitted before the final prompt. Although its a individual thing I would still like some recommendations.
So far I have only tried Ping G20 with standard TFC 169 Regular shaft. I liked this club the sound at impact was impressive as was the ball flight and feel.
I'm thinking of looking at Drivers that also allow for flexibility so the shaft can be changed.
So please list your recommendations below........

Some good advice already given.

All I would add is while recommendations are good, don't be brand loyal and go with whatever you hit best and the fitter recommends.

Secondly. If you're looking to get custom fit, as you say, why would you want to look at a driver that allows you to swap the shaft?

If you're hankering for an adjustable driver, get fitted with one and leave the shaft and setting alone once the fitter has set them up.

As you're swing progresses go back to the fitter and ask him to reassess your shaft and head/loft settings.

Well I tried the Callaway Razr Fit the other day with an Aldila NV Rip shaft. Result was lower ball flight than the G20 with same sort of distance, but the sound was a lot duller off the face.
Today I tried the Ping Anser with standard shaft, cost £300 I would not pay 10 bob this felt horrible and cheap. A real disappointment, what a let down
So far it's the Ping G20, but more to try.......

Jensen, you have an FT3, I had one. If feel and sound are what you are trying to beat, just stop now, even the Callaway fitters at St Andrews will tell you that was one of the best drivers Callaway ever made, I had one, it was awesome.

With that said, you are then looking at performance, you need to revisit the Anser, with earplugs, and not worrying about feel either. I've just done the whole driver thing, and a new Anser arrived Friday, it doesn't feel great, it sounds like ****, but by god does it do what it's built to do.
