so after numerous lessons, range time and 10 rounds under my belt I felt I wasn;t getting enough consitency with my ball striking or getting rid of the slice properly.

After reading a few posts the last couple of days and watching a you tube vid last night I altered my grip slightly as it was obviously a bit weak (1 knuckle on left hand visible). Even though the old grip felt natural and comfortable it was obviously causing all the issues.

Just been down the range and wow!!! straighter, longer and through all the clubs, off the tee, the deck.

I had a play around after a while with drawing and fading the ball and it worked, nigh on everytime.

ok I still have to take it onto the course with funny lies, rough etc but it feels a lot more solid and under control. Please dont shoot me down in flames and let me enjoy my miniscule eureka moment

Have any of you had a moment where one small or big change just made it all click?

Reading a piece in last month's GM about the importance of the coil in generating distance, especially off the tee. I'm not a bit hitter by any means but I'm absolutely certain I used to hit it further than I do now. Reading that piece made me realise that I was really collapsing my left arm on the backswing and on my next trip to the range, I definitely felt I was hitting it significantly further than before (say 20-25 yards with the driver). I've yet to try it on the course though.

just back from the range and again much more consitent ball striking, can definitely fade/draw off the tee. Just lfabbergasted that such a simple little change in grip makes such a massive difference, maybe Bob can explain to me why? lol
