It's your club to blame not the golfers, at least 8 minutes between groups is the absolute minimum.

You said in an earlier post there is 6 minutes between tee times. Now I know you have been playing for about a year and are so much better than the Old Fogeys who hit there drives about 150 yards can I suggest who is the real villian.
It is your club who are sending out groups every 6 mins, which means too complete a round in 4 hours it would mean clearing 40 groups thro' 18 holes which would have 2.22 groups per hole (and this includes perhaps 4 par 3's)

Going back to the OP,
They were well out of order driving while you were still in range. But
if they were in a buggy, would they not be quicker than you?
And isn't there something written down somewhere that says you should call quicker groups through?
