Old Course Ballot June 17th, 18th or 19th.

Bit of an outside gamble, but I'm up in St Andrews all next week and am looking for anyone else who may be up there to join up in the ballot?

Only really going to have free time on Mon-Wed and looking at the forecast, I think Tuesday would be my preffered day.

No worries if there's no-one available, I can always set my alarm clock to get up at "oh my god it's early" o'clock and join the singles queue.

Well, tried through a different website to get a tee time through the ballot but that was no joy. Ended up this morning getting up at 1.30am, was out at the Old Course Pavillion for 2am and I was 9th in the queue! 9th!! Fortunately there were 12 spots today so I managed to get out just before 1 with 3 great lads from Uruguay.

From the queue, to the golf to the beers after, I've loved every single moment of the day. Worth every penny, plus I played well.

Not as bad as last time I played there. Managed to cream driver straight down the middle this time, rather than worm charming it like a few years ago. Felt a lot more settled in this round, remembered lots of the course which helped when my watch went dead (should have charged it).
