Played absolutely crap but just glad that James had a good day. He went round 4 over in tough conditions and was basically playing our two opponents on his own! I think my only contribution was a half down 10. We were three up at one time (or James was) but they pegged it back to all square with a couple to go. James managed to go one up with one to play but we lost the 18th to a birdie so match all square...
My excuse? Wrong poxy glasses..
Normally have my "golf" glasses permanently in the bag and will swop from my varifocals as I unload the car. Couldn't find the bloody things and had to wear my vari's instead. Really weird playing in them, and actually had an air shot going down the first hole which is funny 'cos we were only talking about air shots last week. Can't remember the last time I had one of those...
It was cold, windy, luckily it didn't rain at all. But as I say, James had a blinding round. So did I, for different reasons.

Have you ever tried playing in varifocals when you're not used to them Bob?
One half of the bloody lens says the ball is closer than the other. No wonder I hit a fecking air shot.
And looking at a putt through the line of where the lenses alter????

It's funny actually, Jan's always wittering on about her contact lenses being in the wrong eye or upside down.
How about laser surgery?
The adverts tell us it's from only £395 per eye rising to £500 per eye if you want to actually see again

I watched Oddsocks carry Smiffy round 18 holes only to eventually lose to a birdie on the last hole (by Bratty) and that's what happened with Smiffy and I around Cooden Beach.... although Smiffy did make a half in there somewhere... apparently
Actually it was slightly different as we were 1up going down the 18th and they made birdie for a halfed match, in Oddsocks game they LOST the match to a birdie on the last I believe?
