Numbers On Line

It's because users used to get logged out after a period of inactivity of about 20 minutes. Now it's way longer, I think Mike said 24 or 48 hours.

Without wanting to sound like an idiot, what do you use it for? I'm honestly interested.

Fault or not, I prefer it.
It means I can go and do something else for an hour without it logging me out and marking all the threads as read.

Why? Do you read every thread and post? I am just curious as I know you have mentioned this before but for me it isn't a big deal.

I don't read every thread, but the ones I do read I like to be taken to the first post I haven't read.
If I have to scroll about to find the first one I haven't read I get bored after a few and it's easier to not bother.

To me, knowing how many people are online isn't a big deal, but each to their own.
