Nous! What's the deal?

We're seeing an alarming increase in the use of the word 'Nous' on forum posts

Half way through 2014 and so far we already see an 100% increase on the entire 2013 count and 1200% up on the low of 2009!

Many of this years occurrences have happened in the last week or so...

What's going on fellas?

All I know is since its high point in 1899 (only threatened by its use during the period 1959-1964) use of the word has been in steady decline through the 80's & 90's to the lowest point since records began... until 10 days ago when Homer used it!
