North Norfolk?

Who said anything about putting the courses into a league? The OP just asked for suggestions where to play and I've given him an option within an hour's drive.

Failed on that one too...1hr 40 mins from Hunstanton :)

Stick with the 4 that Phil and I (and most agree) suggested, and you won't go far wrong!

If you want to be a smartarse get your facts right. Where did OP say anything about staying in Hunstanton? He asked for advice on courses to play in the area, I gave him an alternative from the other courses suggested. And for what it's worth, Yarmouth is a really fun course that happens to be cheaper than all the others (£40 as opposed to £75/90/65/70 for the other 4 courses). I've also played all the other courses mentioned and I would rather play Yarmouth over either Sheringham or Cromer.

Very sorry for trying to help out another forummer, hope he can find it in his heart to forgive me.

Must get round to playing Yarmouth.

Do I assume this is closed on race days?

While not amazing Fakenham is a decent 9 hole course, normally pretty good value.

Yeah it is as about half the course is inside the race track. They have some pretty cheap opens, worth checking on the website.

In fairness I can play for free through smart golfer network.

Just never thought about it too much.

If you fancy having a knock around GY and Caister then give me a shout if you're looking for someone to play with. Assuming I'm not away with work then I'd be up for it and my stepbrother (jchubs on the forum) would almost certainly be willing to have a knock as well.

Sounds good PM sent.

Maybe a mini meet?

Right then, me and my homies have just booked four rounds in May.
Monday, Swaffham
Tuesday, Hunstanton
Weds, Sheringham.
Thurs, Kings Lynn on the way home.

Watch this space and al give a run down on courses.

Tashy, steer clear of the 6 fingered golf gloves that are always on offer in the Pro-shops down there, they are for the Locals only!:thup::clap::ears:

Ha, Trev can buy a few then, he has a place in Sunny Hunny. Won't be long before he grows another finger.
wish I had known some members down there coz the savings on signing in as a guest is quite substantial. Odd thing is non of the clubs accept County cards from other county's.

Looking forward to it as some nice courses booked.

I've played 3 of them and I'm sure you wont be disappointed
It's gonna be interesting rob, coz I get back from Benidorm with the bra phone holder on Sunday afternoon then am off to sunny Hunny on the Monday. Al be knackered and mentally drained.

Swaffham for £30 inc a meal was a steal. Sheringham was daylight robbery at £55.

 how did you get on at Swaffham? I though it was a good fun course and not too penal

The first nine holes was the worst golf I played all week. Nothing to do with the course at all. I felt really rough after getting back from a week of drink and food at Benidorm the day before.
Thought the course was excellent value for money. Had an interesting conversation in the clubhouse after. I was asked re the course and said the only thing I would seriously address was the bunkers. They were full of stones, flint stones and they can seriously damage your clubs. I was informed that the club has had £62k back from the tax man and £42 k was spent on the carpark. Members were not happy as to a man they wanted it spent on the bunkers. Members had not been asked re how and where to spend. Had heard off one or two at Swaffham that they classed it as good as Kings Lynn. Swaffham is good but it is a league below Kings Lynn at the moment.
I played the par threes really well last week and put a tee shot three foot from the pin on a par three at Swaffham. Missed the flippin putt.
