4 of us are heading up there next week for a golf break. Golf is all sorted (playing Dunbar, The Glen and Royal Musselburgh).

The trip was originally arranged for May but rescheduled for obvious reasons. When I was planning it back in the Spring, someone on here said to post nearer the time for pub and food suggestions, but to my shame, I've forgotten who said that!

We are staying in an apartment on High St for 2 nights. All suggestions welcome.

Ducks Inn at Aberlady inbetween North Berwick and Musselburgh does good scran and ale at decent prices. Been a while since I've been though. About 5 miles from NB.

Zitto in NB is great for Italian food, I go there often.
Next door is Signal's Bistro which is great. They were just doing food outside a month ago, perhaps moved back inside now. Fantastic breakfast there too.
The Puffin is also nice.

For drinks Herringbone is really good. The Ship Inn (also does food) is a good pub as is the Auld Hoose.

Enjoy Dunbar, look forward to hearing what you think. Hope the weather is kind.

Best North Berwick 'Fine Dining' is Osteria on the High St., will be busy - you need to book.

Zittos is good with a very large menu.

Pub food in The Ship Inn and The Nether Abbey Hotel is decent.

The Lobster Shack/Rocketeer as Kaz says is popular.

Personally I have not been impressed with the Puffin.

Grace of India in Aberlady is good.

The Old Clubhouse in Gullane is good for pub grub.

Edit: Signals is still using the back of the property as a nice beer garden.

Are you going this week coming or the following week? If this week then bear in mind Rishi's 50% off deal is making places very busy that would normally be quiet. Worth booking in advance. If you are away the following week then ignore me ?
