I used to play regularly but when I started working offshore it wasn't worth keeping a membership so I became a nomad golfer. Haven't played for a couple of years now due to the kids preferring to go fishing instead.

I can't imagine why you'd be on here if you've never once played golf. Can understand those who have played and fallen out of it for whatever reason. I only registered on here when I started getting back into golf and got the bug again.

Same here don't get why if you've never played you'd be avidly on a forum discussing a sport so in depth.
I like you signed up when I started to play again, and I'd hate to be like the unfortunate guys that have had to stop through injury

I play most weeks at various pay and play courses in Essex and I like to get away once a year on a jolly! Avid reader of the Lounge but rarely post. But if anyone’s interested I stand on the path when my pp is teeing off and don’t wear a Glove!😄

Joined in 2013, but only started playing in 2016 / 2017.
Difficult to get out and improve when you work away half the year, holidays, weekends away and a young family in the time your home as well.

IIRC I joined on here when I got back into playing golf regularly again and it appeared to be a friendly place from the outside, that organised quite a few meets at courses that really interested me, as like playing different courses.
Fairly quickly signed up for a cracking day out at Woburn after joining.

Posting several times a day is easy if you can do it from work.
