No match thread??

:D:D:D:D:D:D

Could not resist.;)

Quiz question for the night -

Engerlund failed to have a shot on target in a home match for the 1st time since they played what team and when??

Germany B I think.......oh no that was tonight.
Germany A then.

The Scotland game was amazing, it should have been about 6-0 for Norway and we walk off with a win.
I think Wee Gordon is going to be a lucky manager.

They were very poor yet again, no ideas and playing like the disjointed bunch of fellas they are.

Still going to need a bigger spoon though Dodger.;)

This must be a record, now 13 posts and no one defending, pardon the pun, English football.

OK smart arse, I'll defend them. I went to see Sigur Ros in my home town last night which was an almost spiritual experience. So didn't watch the football and don't know the score. But I am assuming that a strong England team at home with pretensions of going far in the world cup easily dealt with a second string Germany team?? I bet we bossed the possession and caused Germany lots of problems?

After all, we are England, and as has been posted on here several times, it's a media myth that we are actually not that good as the media love to say that kind of thing. Where as for the true story all you need to do is just look at the evidence of what I am assuming was a comfortable victory last night.

There you go, stick that in your pipe and smoke it. Engerland, Engerland

England are rubbish

Personally, I dont care and didnt watch it.

I am a club man, I support my club, and the only interest I have in international football is that none of my clubs players get injured whilst on international duty.

Also, there are some England players I really dont like (Cashley, Shrek, for a start) and I dont want to cheer for them. Thats for sure.

It would be good for the country for them to win something, but they wont.

Hacker.. an Arsenal player scored the winner.

There you go, I knew England would triumph and that the English Premier League teams policy of playing lots of English players would come good. An English player playing for an English team scoring for England at Wembley. Come on, the only way it could have been more English is if he would have scored and then eaten some fish and chips and a Yorkshire pudding.

This along with the amount of foreign players over here is the problem. I watched the game last night and the best team won. Losing to Germany was no great shock really even their 2nd team would beat most nations. We did not play that bad until we got to the edge of the box and then we seemed to run out of idea's. Still not to worry there is always the world cup to look forward to:whistle:

What is to defend? England are not very good and support for the national team and Premiership football in general is declining.

That said, quite pathetic that some of you seem to take more pleasure from an England loss than a Scotland win? The opposite isn't the case. I almost always want Scotland to win and the same goes for all the home nations.

I appreciate that this is a light hearted post poking fun at the English but it hints at a deeper seated malaise and I find that a shame and quite poor really.
