I've never known one as blatantly self serving as this though. She knew she was under threat after the election fiasco. She's now strengthened her position.
 
I seem to remember Cameron's leaving list was pretty shameful. Full of friends and hangers on. The list generally has some shameful political appointments and this one is no better.

Bluewolf is right though. I think we are so used to the corruption of the system that we fail to be outraged any more.

The problem is that being outraged is just a wasted emotion. If people really want the system changed, and remember, more non famous and genuine people also receive them, then do something about it, don't waste time just being outraged.

I quite agree. I'm a big fan of e-mailing the correct body to complain rather than just venting on a forum. No, I don't write constantly but constructive letters or emails can be very effective. The problem with the honours system is that the person to write to would be my MP. The same MP who no doubt fancies a nice title and a bit of ermine when his time is up. Back to being outraged on forums then 😁.

Apparently they've already got the new Pope lined up, an Italian - Cardinal Siccola. He'll be the new Pope Siccola - we'll drink to that 😁😁😁
 
When I was in the Vatican last year, I went to their annual boxing event. One of the cardinals was disqualified for administering a last right.
