Anyone doing anything exciting tonight. I'm off to a pub in Ascot with the wife for a few drinks with some friends. Not planning to go mad (but intended to be good at the wedding I was at yesterday - epic fail). Anyone out and about (be safe in the awful weather) or do most just stay in with the family. Anyone foresake the celebrations altogether and go to bed early?

Never done much for New year's Eve, just don't get excited by it.
The Mrs is at work and won't be home till gone 9.30 and she's on nights tomorrow so I doubt she'll be staying up long.
I'll be gone by 10.30/11
Just another day.

Boardgames with friends until quarter to then a quick celebration before driving home. It’s mostly about the board games really, plus party food!

Got some friends coming over (plus the girls have a few friends over) so there will be about 15 or so at my place.

got some party food plus homemade jerk chicken in the oven.

will probably wake up feeling like crap tomorrow .

i wish you and your families a happy new year

No, never really been a New Year person, I like Christmas but NY is overhyped imo.

We concentrate on keeping Max occupied when the fireworks start, which they have already 😟

5 of us out for a meal in a restaurant which has a band on so food, drink and possibly a bit of Dad dancing for me

Staying at home with the wife. Having an eight course meal followed by watching Nile Rodgers and Chic live on BBC at 23:20.

Already slobbing it. Trackie bottoms and rugby shirt on. Very large whisky and some good music. Will be in bed by 11:30 at the latest.

Off to me bros in five mins with 10 x 1664 and a bottle of beluga vodka to share.

Happy new year everyone and thanks for the comments that have kept me enlightened and entertained😘

Long gone are the days when I used to see in the New Year in Edinburgh. The crowds are too big nowadays and I would have to drive so no drink. Playing at St Andrews in the morning (weather permitting) so I'll see in the bells and calling a night.
Happy New Year to one and all!

I’m at work at the moment so will be tucked up by 10pm for a 5:30am start tomorrow.
Happy new year to everyone, hope it’s a good one.

Can't handle the booze (and the partying anymore--age ,eh--)so quiet night in with SWMBO,TV,music and the bells,a few beers,a whisky(or 2)and off to bed.
Unfortunately no golf for the next few days due to weather and conditions!
All the best to everyone for 2018 and may all your wishes and dreams come true!!!!
