New WHS - scores not showing as counted

Hi
I am new to golf and have a new handicap from my 1st 54 holes (6x9) and have played 2 more 9 holes since then, but only one score is showing as "counted" when I thought 7-8 rounds used the average of the best 2? Can anyone explain why only one score is shown as counted? Does a round need to be 18 for example?

For initial handicap, 9-hole scores are combined to create 18-hole score differentials; after this, 9-hole scores are scaled up to create 18-hole differentials.

As such, since all your scores are from 9 holes, you effectively only have 5 scores for handicapping (rounds 1 and 2 combined, 3 and 4 combined, 5 and 6 combined, 7 scaled up, 8 scaled up); and so only the best differential is used.

Yes thanks- I had that but didn’t realise the initial 6 nine holes counted as 3. But what about this one- using the above methodology it has scores submitted, which should be 3 counting- but this has 4? New handicap too

Two of the counting scores (Jul 9, Aug 8) are 9-hole scores from the initial scores for handicap so are combined and counted together (as one score).

Yes. You have to actually play 54 holes to get started.
