Khamelion
Tour Winner
No one tell Kraxx, he's had 4 TM (R1, R1 with different shaft, SLDR, R15)drivers this year and 3 putters, even if this gets his ball to travel 6 inches further he'll buy it.
Really, coz the text I see says ....I wouldn't say I don't like it, but if you read the golfworx link they have moved the weight high/back instead of low/forward.
This against the grain of the last 6-8 months marketing
The images reveal a two-tone crown design that appears to mix two different materials, presumably titanium and carbon fiber to save weight from the upper, rearward part of the driver head. That would further TaylorMade’s recent design initiative of moving weight lower and more forward in its metal woods to create a higher launch and less spin for more distance
Really, coz the text I see says ....
The TM idea of low and forward is continued ... which will apparently reduce spin (something they don't seem to have changed). So we have Cobra on one end saying they have achieved a zero CG way way far back and down, and TM even further up and forward than usual!
Any info re: weight adjustability yet? From the side on view it seems similar to the R15 but hard to say without seeing the actual weights.
Out of interest, when was the last big TM release. It does seem a while back and that this perception of a new model coming out every three months has stopped. If TM are starting to feel the pinch fiscally is this new model a big hurrah to get some popularity and market share back
R15 or Aeroburner at a guess.
Which were Released last wed & Thurs respectively.
Can't say too much, but the word is its a game changer. Was going to buy an r15, but was told by someone very much in the know to wait until this beast comes out........
