New Srixon AD333 Balls

Thanks for all the replies.

I actually found one today after I hit my tee shot to the Par 3 5th hole fat and came up way short in the rubbish short of the green. Played the rest of the round with it to see what it was like and it played fine.

Didn't feel as nice as the Pro V1x I was using up till then obviously, but I had no issues with it . The greens at my course are now quite soft and it stopped very quickly on the greens. Stopped a 5 iron stone dead on the 18th green so no issues with lack of spin on soft winter greens so looking forward to trying out the new ones with the softer cover and see how they go.

At the very least it will save me a few quid through the winter as although I like premium balls, I still lose on average 1 per round. Losing cheaper balls shouldn't be quite as sore.

this isn't really any reflection on spin at all now - an opponent hit his driver into a par 5 last week and managed to get it to 'come back'...nothing to do with the ball at all

I also have a box of Mizuno D201's coming courtesy of finally getting round to subscribing to Golf Monthly magazine, so it will be interesting to compare these to the new AD333's I have coming and see which one I prefer for winter golf.

Hit properly you can get any ball to spin back on soft winter greens. And what is the point of spinning it back anyway when the majority of our approach shots are short of the stick?
The AD333 is quality ball for the winter but I still have 2 dozen of the old model to use. The only gripe is that they do scuff up more than a premium ball. After 2 rounds they get whacked down the range.

I'm quite happy if:
- my ball lands on the green
- when it's finished rolling it's still on the green.

Spinning it back is not a requirement for me :D

I never liked the Ad333 but have been using the Srixon Soft Feel and love em - sorry if I've gone off topic, treat it as a public information statement :D

So cruel. The poor things sitting there for so long waiting for that eventual impact ;)

I feel exactly the same; I give the blue ones away but am happy to play the green ones! No rational reason but I just don't like them. Doesn't make them a bad ball.

However, I accept that this is an entirely subjective view and, at the end of the day, they are 1.68" round and 1.62 oz in weight just like the rest :)
