How do you blokes with loads of pairs of shoes stay married, or are you all single? What is the pay off? My wife takes the hump if I buy new shoes even if I can show wet socks as a sign the old ones have failed. Having two pairs would be seen as financially reckless, 8 would be off the scale.

I'd like to have about 6 pairs. Mainly because I like to cordite y kit and 6 pairs would give me enough options... Will have 3 pairs when I get my new ones this year so halfway there...

Tyrion everything for the house cones out of the joint account that we both pay into. If we need to save for something we do it together. Whatever money I have left every month I can do with what I want. I rarely go out so save what I can and spend it on the best hobby in the universe

Surely just point out her shoe collection!

Every time the missus has a go about me buying a new club, shoes, bag etc etc I remind her how much her shoes, hair, clothes etc etc costs each month. It's the only argument she lets go easily! My favourite line is 'this wedge cost me a £100 and will last me 2 years, your hair costs £100 and lasts you a month!'

Not quite. Only the 20 although I am in the process of getting a couple of myjoys sorted for the 2016 season
