New shineys for the season?

New bag, new driver, new irons, new putter, new lob wedge, oh and a new swing.

Yip, the only thing I've kept from last year is the ball. I was playing with 20 year old junk clubs from my Junior days, rediscovered the game last summer so this year I've decided to invest and see how good I can be. Tough times though, while the new clubs are unreal the new swing is a battle, I vary from better than ever to absolute beginner out there. I've yet to put it all together but I'm hoping end of this month to start putting in handicap cards and get an idea of where my game is.

Replaced my entire bag over the winter months with only two clubs surviving the overhaul (not surprisingly my favourite 2 clubs, my lob wedge and my hybrid)

New Driver, 3 wood, irons, putter and 54 wedge.

i15 3 wood and Yes! putter defintiely the best purchases. best 3 wood and putter ive ever tried.

Irons and wedge were just upgrades from my my 695cbs and vokey wedge which were 5/6 years old.

all I need now to complete my bag is the Titleist Sta-dry bag for those rainy days and I'll be set.. have to wait a while though as my bank balance has certainly suffered from my recent eBay spending sprees!

Bob now you have ask the question its made me realise how much i spend on my golf.
This year ive got new irons £399
New putter £70
Just purchased yesterday golf buddy £224
Subs due next month, frightening when you add it all up,and looking at some peoples set ups on the forum, mines cheap

This is the point of the whole thread.
Lots of people upgrading to more expensive gear but could you prove what's in your bag if Mr insurance has to be called?

Receipts are good but pictures are even better.

And as for you Smiffy.........you should be ashamed of yourself.   :p

Got some new Irons r9tpand a cobra cart bag for christmas, and some new wedges, 2 mizzy ones and a new vokey, bought a nike hybrid to try too!

Best get the cam out then!! :)

I changed most of my gear to Ping and i have to say that im not one bit disappointed in them....Iv gone through a few sets of irons over a year and a half but its Ping all the way now and loving them...

I swapped out my Cobra S2's for Ping i10 and im loving them...If my last few rounds are anything to go by things are looking positive...

I swapped out my Cobra S2 3 wood for a Ping G15 and this was also a better move...Alot more forgiving and longer as well...

Changed my Ping G15 hybrid for an i15 with 23 degrees of loft and this thing is stupid easy to hit....Much easier than the G15....

I also changed my putter from a TM Itsy Bitsy to a MD Seve Icon St. Andrews half mallet and im in love with it....It'll be in my bag for a long time to come....

So hopefully the bit of work im doing with my swing wont let the clubs down :o.

odd bits and pieces really wedges feel like new as I got them last year before 5 month layoff. I replaced my old big bertha 3 wood with a cheap Benross as I like my hybrid. Driver is my only real purchase since last year which I got from the girlfriend as a birthday present. I have changed balls though now using Srixon Trispeed but between swatting for my exams and working evening I have not had much chance to test them.

I ordered a set of Wilson FG59 irons last week, so hopefully they will be home in a day or 2. I'm also considering getting some Vokey wedges, although they might have to wait as my subs are due this month.

What are you using this season that is different from last year.

A stroke on the SI 13 hole
;)

You and me both once I've played on Sunday in the stableford. I don't need too much. I'll see what decent golf shirts come out, and will no doubt try and then covert the new TM irons (for a while at least) and no doubt dabble on the myjoy site again but whether I'll actually get anything else is debatable

I don't have any insurance, who do people get golf equipment from and how do you know how much insurance you need? Does it just cover the cost of your clubs or the bag and trolley too?

Just driver and fairway wood for me. Last years comps paid for the driver :)

WAIT!!!

REWIND

I have some old Mizzy mx-25's in the bag (bought from PMWokingham).

I never thought I'd see the day. :D

Have you played with them yet? Any good?
