new putter recommendations?

The rife mid mallet (400?) is a superb putter. I also remember trying one called Mr Beasley

I have finally got my act together and bought a blade putter.
I used a Ping blade for years and loved it....never any complaints. Trouble was, starting again after many years, I didn't have much touch, played mostly on slow greens and ended up with a C/F TM Mallet.

It's taken me a while to find the right one for me (especially hard as I've been looking for a 34" at least 2 degrees upright compared to standard 70/71 degrees)
Ended up with a demo Fisher from AG. 34" 73 degrees, black insert. Feels similar to an old odyssey I had from 1999 (dual force blade) only the proper lie. That was horribly flat.

Went up the practice green today and holed 4 putts > 30 feet!!!! Couldn't believe it.....

Was that 4 on the trot, or 4 from 200 attempts??

Not quite... :D it was 4 from about 40 attempts. I think to be fair the improvements weren't just down down to the putter. I was watching some footage from the Sony Open and they kept zooming right in to the back of Enie Els neck when he was putting to show how still he kept his head during the stroke.

I know your supposed to keep your head still, but I keep forgetting. The the close up image and Nick Faldo's analysis was quite powerful and I decided to give it a try.
Seemed to work well. Before each putt, I just visualised Ernie's neck to remind me to keep mine still.
Still a very nice putter though... :)

Nice putter, not a nice thought. Ernies neck? There has to be more to life than that. I prefer to think about ...... may be best not to go there, but it could involve Nat Gulbis or Sophie Sandolo, and not at neck level (unless they are doing a hand stand).

Four 30 footers out of 40 is a good strike rate for that length. Keep up the good work and you could have a good season.
Went out on the course with it today and 3 putted the 1st from 20 feet....doh!! :o
It did improve though and I didn't 3 putt any after that. Ernies neck Murph....it's the future!!

Bob might have the V easy...I think I can find a market for: THE BIG "red neck" EASY!!.

Now where's that putting technique guy so I can discuss a busines plan? :D :D :D :D
